What we collect

If you register to use our services, we will collect some or all of your:

• name
• email address
• place of work, and
• phone number.

If you enter any personal information into our contact form, or your email address into forms in order to obtain free InfoProvisions volumes or sample assessment reports or IPP6 access request reports or IPP7 access reports or other materials, we will also collect that personal information.

If you enter any personal information into the forms on the site that are used for privacy-related assessments or to build documents, we will also collect the personal information you enter into those forms, but this information is only held for a short period of time to enable us to provide you with the relevant outputs. It is then deleted from this site automatically.

We use Stripe to process payments. We do not obtain or store your credit card information.

Why we collect it

We collect the personal information described above to enable us to identify you, to promote or provide our services to you, to answer any questions you may have, and generally to communicate with you in relation to our services and any other services we may provide in the future.

If you use our contact form, you may elect to sign up to our mailing list. If you do, you’ll be added to our email list. If you enter your email address into forms in order to obtain free InfoProvisions volumes or sample assessment reports or IPP6 access request reports or IPP7 access request reports or other materials, you’ll be added to our email list automatically but you can unsubscribe from it at any time (for example, when you receive an email, you can click the ‘Unsubscribe’ link). We use MailChimp for management of our email lists. When you interact with an email that MailChimp sends at our request, MailChimp collects some information automatically about your device and your interaction with the email (and it uses cookies and other tracking technologies to collect some of this information). Who will hold it

We will hold your personal information. It will also be held on our behalf by our hosting provider, WPEngine (running on the Amazon Web Services hosting platform in Sydney, Australia), and email addresses in our email lists are held on our behalf by MailChimp.

Choice

You have a choice as to whether to provide this information to us. You can choose not to if you wish.

If you do not provide the information we ask for, we will not be able to create an account for you and you won’t be able to use our services.

Who will see it

Within our organisation, your information will be viewable only by those operating the service (Richard Best Law and anyone working for Richard Best Law/StopLookGo Privacy who needs to access the information to provide the services or administer the website). It will not be viewable by anyone else.

Statistics

We collect non-identifying statistical information about visits to this site. Site statistics allow us to assess the number of visitors to different sections of the site, identify what information is of interest, monitor system performance and help us make the site more useful to visitors.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed in your browser by the websites you visit. They are widely used to help users navigate websites efficiently, to perform certain functions on the sites and/or to provide site owners with information about how their sites are used.

This website generates cookies for authentication/login and other site administration purposes. You can remove or block cookies (by using settings in your browser) but doing so may affect your ability to use elements of the site.

Security

Keeping personal information secure is important to us. We protect the personal information we hold through a range of measures. You can read about them on our Security page.

How long we’ll keep it

We will keep your contact information for as long as we require it to promote or provide our services to you and for a short period after you close your account in case you’d like to re-open it again. After that we we will securely delete it. You may, however, unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link you’ll find at the bottom of the emails.

The information you enter into our privacy assessment and document builder forms is only retained for a short period of time. We have designed our services this way deliberately, to minimise the amount of information we hold and the period for which we hold it. We do not retain copies of the PDFs and Word documents produced by our services and the data you enter to produce them is automatically deleted within 24-48 hours.

Access and correction
