It’s time to gear up for Privacy 2.0
By the year’s end, our new Privacy Act 2020 will be in force and replace legislation that many of us have been familiar with for a long time. Every agency and organisation in New Zealand that handles personal information will need to be familiar with the changes the new Act will make to our privacy law. Responsibility for that in your agency could fall on your privacy officer, your managers, your information team, your lawyers, your policy advisors, or others. Agencies and organisations that want to get up to speed with the changes in a solid and digestible way are welcome to watch the video training below. In less than an hour, you’ll be taken through the changes that New Zealand agencies and organisations need to know about.
There’s also a quick 10-question quiz after the video that can help you reflect on some of the topics addressed in the video. When you submit that, we’ll send you a PDF of the slides used for the video training so you can pull them out whenever you want.
If you’re a lawyer and would like to earn 1 CPD point, you can do that too, by clicking the option to be sent a CPD certificate.
Time to turn the telly on
